The COVID-19 outbreak is spreading, with many aspects of life affected in small and large ways. As Christians, we are not spared - some churches have announced the suspension of regular Sunday services, while many more have shut down Sunday School as a precaution. With many of our usual church activities disrupted and more time at home, why don’t we take this opportunity to draw closer to God and each other? Perhaps this is the gift in this season of uncertainty and pain.
Written by Rev. Jenni Ho-Huan and our founders Elvin and Esther Foong, this devotional guide is meant to help families talk, pray and act in response to what is going on. This invites us to have a living faith. It follows the 4’R’ structure to answer key questions you and your child may have about the current COVID-19 situation:
Read: What’s happening in our world? What does the Bible say?
Reflect: What do I feel and think about the situation? How do I understand God’s perspective?
Respond: What can I do? How can I help?
Reinforce: What are the key lessons and takeaways?
