Faith At Home

In a world that values academic excellence and material success over spiritual growth, why should parents pay attention to their children's spiritual health and maturity? What does the Bible say the role of parents is? And how can parents be effective disciple-makers in their own home?

This 2-session workshop (1.5hr - 2hr per session) aim to answer the questions of why faith at home is so critical, and how, with practice and lots of heart, any parent can fulfil the mandate of Proverbs 22:6 - “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Outcomes

1. Understand the Biblical role of parents in bringing up their children;
2. Understand the unique parent-church partnership in a child's spiritual formation;
3. Understand and apply the basic principles of leading a family devotion time; and
4. Write a simple family devotional lesson plan that can be used and shared.
