Do you take the bus to school every morning? Can you recall what the driver looks like? Find out how one student tries to save the job of his favourite bus driver. Not just another face in the crowd, but his hero and role model.

Due to the prevalence of public transportation in Singapore, we wanted to dedicate one of The Invisible People titles to the workers in this sector. A bus driver was chosen as our family commutes most frequently by bus and shares a special love for sitting at the first row on the upper floor of a double-decker.

While issues like retrenchment and bullying are not your usual themes for a children’s book, we found these to be unfortunately commonplace and thus wanted to represent them from the point of view of a child. Do you love taking the bus too?

New edition comes with interactive activity pages like charting your bus route home; design a bus for year 2050 and fun facts about buses in Singapore.

Edition 1: $10

Edition 2: $14

About The Invisible People Series

The Invisible People series is a tribute to some special people who hold very special jobs. Those who grow up with us, build our homes and even those whom we see every single day without fail. Yet, we may not treat them like they are a part of our lives. Let us get to know these Invisible People better and together make them visible by waving help or even saying a simple ‘thank you’ to them today.
